My name is Donna Sagel. I live in Mount Pleasant South Carolina.
My husband Ron and I are both retired and moved here in 2001. We built our first real house in Hidden Lakes.
We had always lived in a town house with a very small kitchen. We shared our home with our dog Reggie - a Yorkie who has gone ahead to make way for us in heaven. He was our constant friend, companion and, I might add, our mentor for all important decisions. His spirit is still with us every minute of every day.
My passions are really two fold; I play a lot of tennis at Snee Farms Country Club ( I am a proud member of the Southern Sectional US Championship Women Senior Doubles Combo team of 2006 and 2010 as well as the South Carolina Seniors Champions of 2018) and spend the rest of my available free time cooking ,baking, gardening and reading cook books. We built a home that is centered around a 600 sq ft kitchen. It has always been a dream of ours to have a kitchen like this and it was made possible by a local kitchen architect; Duval Acker of Kitchens By Design.
As a result of our modest social interactions with neighbors and friends, I was always being asked about my desserts. From more than just a few requests for my services, I decided to start this small, licensed, custom cottage baking business that now has a broad spectrum of products. I have made single cakes, pies, muffins, cupcakes, bars and cookies for friends and customers as well as larger servings for group events. All of my creations are produced from custom orders and are made one at a time with loving pride and care.
